Sunday music afternoon - The Writtle Singers
Sunday 27th July 2008:
2pm

Writtle Singers is a chamber choir based in Writtle, near Chelmsford, Essex.  The choir performs a varied repertoire from plainchant, motets and madrigals to many styles of contemporary music

Tickets cost £5 adults, £3 OAPs and free admission for children including light refreshments at interval.







Teddy Bears Picnic
Tuesday 19th August 2008:
12pm

Led by Donna Bennett from the Essex Wildlife Trust.  This event is open to all children aged 5 and over when accompanied by an adult.  Families should bring their own picnics, and dress according to weather as it is an outdoor event.

Children will be invited to take part in activities including a woodland walk searching for teddies! Younger brothers and sisters are welcome to watch the activities if parents advise us in advance.


Tickets cost £4 per child. Booking is required for this event.







Sunday music afternoon - The Meljon Singers
Sunday 21st September 2008:

The Meljon Singers are one of Londons most accomplished and enterprising chamber choirs, established since 1990.


Tickets cost £5 adults, £3 OAPs and free admission for children including light refreshments at interval.







Babyloss service with Reverend Christine Hawkins, Chaplain from the Princess Alexandra Hospital
Sunday 19th October 2008:
2pm

A special service to remember our lost babies and children.  It is open to all parents and families who have lost a baby or child, no matter how long ago, and will be led by Reverend Christine Hawkins. The service will consist of readings and music, followed by the planting of snowdrops near our Snowdrop Trees within our woodland.

There is no charge to attend this event, but we invite donations to the Neonatal Unit at Princess Alexandra Hospital.







Alan Shearring nature talk on bird migration
Sunday 23rd November 2008:
12pm

A nature talk about birds and their pattern of winter migration,  with a guided walk through the beautiful woodland looking at habitats led by Alan Shearring from the Essex Wildlife Trust.

 

There is no charge to attend this event but we invite donations to Tree Aid.







Christmas Service of Remembrance led by Kim Noakes, Civil Celebrant
Sunday 7th December 2008:
12pm

Christmas can be a particularly difficult time for those who have been bereaved - our Remembrance service is an opportunity to pay tribute to friends and family members who are no longer with us. Following the service, we will be serving mince pies and mulled wine or orange juice. 

There is no charge to attend this event but we invite donations to Tree Aid.
