Welcome... Welcome to Colney Woodland Burial Park, a beautiful place where, in the truest sense, life goes on. Colney Woodland Burial Park is a burial park set in twelve acres of beautiful, mature woodland on the edge of Norwich. The Burial Park has set a precedent with its unique and award winning concept and now serves as a model for the other Woodland Burial Parks in our group. "Under this tree, where light and shade speckle the grass like a thrush's breast. Here in this green and quiet place I give myself to peace and rest." The principles on which Colney Woodland Burial Park was founded are those of care – care for the deceased, care for bereaved families and friends, care for the environment, and care for the community. We aim to surpass the desires and expectations of all whom we serve, offering an alternative to the conventional burial and cremation choices for the people of Norfolk and the surrounding areas. Our values are those of respect and integrity, and we are totally committed to maintaining the woodland as an area of natural beauty for generations to come, while at the same time enhancing the experience of the celebration of life for families who have been bereaved. Colney Woodland Burial Park won The Cemetery of the Year award in 2005 and 2006 and has also won an award for the design of the buildings and an Award by the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) for the development of the Park. CPRE exists to promote the beauty, tranquillity and diversity of rural England by encouraging the sustainable use of land and other natural resources on town and country, an ethos very much in tune with our concept. These pages are designed to show you how we have brought this area of woodland to life as a Cemetery for our Time, and we look forward to welcoming you as a visitor in the very near future.		Book of Remembrance > An entry in the Book of Remembrance provides a beautiful and long lasting memorial for families and friends. Everyone is welcome to have an entry in the book, even if the person being remembered is not a resident of Colney Wood.
