Facilities Burial Options Chiltern Woodland Burial Park offers the choice of graves within the woodland for burial, as well as for interment of ashes. Ashes may also be scattered in the woodland if this is preferred. Graves and ashes plots may be purchased in advance, as part of funeral planning, or by the bereaved family at the time of need. Before the completion of our buildings, a simple outdoor service can be held by the graveside, or alternatively the local Quaker Meeting House may be hired for a ceremony. Families can of course choose to hold the funeral service elsewhere prior to the burial taking place. We welcome people of all beliefs and denominations, as well as those with no faith. Once our ceremonial buildings are completed, we will host dignified and respectful services, both religious and secular, in our stunning Woodland Hall, with full facilities for up to 135 people attending. Our Gathering Hall will provide a private area where those attending will be able to assemble before the service, and refreshment facilities can be provided if required. Our buildings will be able to be used by families who wish to hold a service prior to travelling to a crematorium, or even by those who wish to have a burial elsewhere. We will be happy to explain all the options available to you and prices are in the literature that we send out. (The costs of graves and ashes plots are being reduced by 20% prior to the completion of our buildings.) We aim always to accommodate the wishes of the deceased, their families and friends. At Chiltern Woodland Burial Park, your purchase of Rights to Burial will be inclusive of: • A secure lease until 2106, thereafter the woodland will revert to its natural state. • A significant contribution to the Trust for the ongoing development and maintenance of the woodland. • Use of Park facilities such as buggies for those with limited mobility. • Security during the opening hours of the burial park, with staff always on site. • No extra charge for non-residents. • No extra charge for placing a memorial, other than the cost of the memorial itself. • The support of trained staff, committed to a compassionate, caring and personalised service. Your price is fixed - whether paid in an at-need or pre-need situation, no further charges will be incurred at Chiltern Woodland Burial Park except for grave preparation, memorials and other services such as the use of our buildings where this has not been pre-arranged.
