Working Woodland Experience Day 2010
On October 30th 2010, Epping Forest Burial Park offered a unique experience to their families and the public; a chance to volunteer and experience a true working woodland.
The working woodland event was run in association with the local group; Epping Forest Conservation Volunteers, as part of national 'Make a Difference Day', the UK’s biggest day of volunteering organised by the Community Service Volunteers.
Attractions including climbing demonstrations by qualified tree surgeons, a running woodchipper and a heavy horse helping with the logging entertained the public. Stands from local groups including, Venus in Flowers, North Weald Village Life, Friends of Epping Forest, Essex Wildlife Trust, Chestnut Cat Sanctuary and Peter from the local beekeeping group. Emlyn Budds the woodcarver and a flying display from PL Falconry were also in the courtyard.
