Welcome to Epping Forest Burial Park

Epping Forest Burial Park is a 52-acre mature bluebell woodland situated in North Weald, near Epping, and was officially opened in May 2008 by Kate Adie O.B.E.

Extensive research and in-depth consultation with landscape and wildlife experts has led to the creation of this environmentally friendly burial ground.

The woodland forms part of the remnants of the former Royal Forest and is situated on a gently sloping ridge of land at the northern end of the Gaynes Park Estate.

Specialist management techniques are helping to restore the woodland to a diverse coppice with broadleaf native trees and a profusion of natural woodland species. Bluebells and primroses are beginning to spread throughout the woodland, while birds and other wildlife species are also being encouraged, for example by introducing bird and bat boxes throughout the Park.

Testimonials

Anyone who chooses Epping Forest Burial Park as the final place of rest for someone they love can be assured that there is nowhere more special in this part of the country.

With ample time for each service and full facilities for receptions, each funeral carried out here is unique and individual. Graves or ashes plots are selected by the family, or by individuals making arrangements for their own future funeral.

The Park offers an appealing and meaningful alternative to conventional burial and cremation choices. It provides both for the bereaved and for those who wish to plan for the future during their own lifetime.
