This is our annual service to remember lost babies and children. The service will consist of readings and music followed by an act of remembrance. The Sunday teashop will be open for homemade cakes and refreshments. Please book in advance, no charge for the service, charity donations welcome.

Children's Event - Nature in Autumn

Led by Steve Hammond and the woodland team for children aged 5yrs and over when accompanied by an adult. Children will enjoy a variety of craft activities using the beautful autumn leaves in the woodland.

An introduction to bees and their evolution, honey production and pollination, the history of beekeeping, and a short introduction to the natural history of the honeybee colony. Tickets cost £5.00 per person including refreshments.

Children's Event - Pond Dipping & Mini Beast Hunt

Led by Steve Hammond and the Colney woodland team for children aged 5yrs and over when accompanied by an adult. Children will have a chance to examine life in the pond and search for the insects that live in the woodland.

Linda Laxton is a leading authority on wildflowers and runs a local specialist nursery in North Burlingham. The nursery opened in 1986 for British wildflowers, stocking almost 400 species, the talk will be a fascinating insight into the world of wildflowers. Libby Ferris Floristry Workshop - An Evening of Flowers

Top local florist Libby Ferris will be hosting a fun, informative evening in our woodland hall, demonstrating and showcasing various floral designs in line with our sustainable, natural and ecologically viable ethos here at Colney Wood. Libby will be using the latest techniques and flower varieties to make a range of beautiful designs that would be suitable as individual commemorative pieces, as well as some seasonal designs for gifts or textural arrangements for the home. Do come along for your chance to learn and observe, and perhaps win one of the designs to take home with you at the end of the night.
