Welcome to Colney Woodland Burial Park

Colney Woodland Burial Park is set in twelve acres of beautiful mature woodland on the edge of Norwich. The burial park has set a precedent with its unique and award winning concept and now serves as a model for the other Woodland Burial Parks in our group.

Woodland Path

The principles on which Colney Woodland Burial Park was founded are those of care – care for the deceased, care for the bereaved families and friends, care for the environment and care for the community.

We aim to surpass the desires and expectations of all whom we serve, offering an alternative to the conventional burial and cremation choices for the people of Norfolk and the surrounding areas. Our values are those of respect and integrity, and we are totally committed to maintaining the woodland as an area of natural beauty for generations to come, while at the same time enhancing the experience of the celebration of life for families who have been bereaved.

Colney Woodland Burial Park enjoys a distinctive landscape of low-lying valleys and an unusual escarpment. Gentle paths lead through areas full of the natural beauty of silver birch, ash, oak, beech and pine trees. In season there is a profusion of snowdrops, bluebells, foxgloves and many other woodland plants.

Testimonials

The park is a haven for wildlife and natural plant growth, reinforcing the concept of renewal of life. Everything in the park is biodegradable. Wooden memorials in English oak are permitted and will, over decades, return to the soil. English Oak memorials can be placed on burial and ash interment plots to remember loved ones and purchasing a burial plot includes a lease up to 2099.

Woodland Hall

At Colney Woodland Burial Park we welcome people of all beliefs and none and offer a highly dedicated service, working closely with funeral directors, clergy and other organisations to ensure that services are dignified and respectful
