"Incredibly beautiful. Wonderful buildings."
- 'I wish to express my thanks to all members of the Woodland Burial Park for making the interment of my husband's ashes a memorable and dignified ceremony. The service in the wonderful hall in the midst of the surrounding trees - and sunshine - made the ceremony a very special moment to remember. I know there was a great deal of organising and coordinating in advance of the interment. Every moment was conducted in a most professional way, and always with understanding and sympathy. We are very fortunate in finding the Woodland Burial Park for my husband's final resting place.'
- 'Compared to the other ones we visited, it seemed so peaceful and uncluttered.'
- 'It was so lovely. It made a sad time a more uplifting time. All the people at the funeral went to the interment, and many took away brochures.'
'We wish to express in writing our sincere thanks for the sensitive and caring manner in which you arranged the burial of our beloved son Stephen on 9th December 09. We would mention in particular the kindness and support provided by your Peter Taylor, whose willingness to accommodate our various wishes including the programme for the ceremony was much appreciated. Particularly impressive were your contingency plans to deal with the frost and snow by providing 4 wheeled drives to ferry guests from the local hotel to the burial park.. Some 40 friends and relatives attended, and were all impressed with the setting, the ambiance and the thoughtfulness of all the staff they met.'
'It's beautiful - our children aren't afraid to visit. Our youngest is terrified of cemeteries.'
'Chiltern Burial Park seemed quieter and more peaceful. Guests at the funeral said how lovely and peaceful it was. It was so much better than a service in a crematorium. And the staff at the Burial Park were very understanding and helped me personally.'
- My wife wanted to be buried under a tree - the manager and other staff were very helpful, positive and supportive, which at the time helped us to make the necessary arrangements with the minimum of distress.'
- 'There was, in my son's best friend's and my opinion, no need to look elsewhere. We were looked after with such sensitivity.'
- 'A beautiful setting, tranquil, well laid out and a nice place to walk around.'
'My family and I are so pleased that we made this choice'.
'I am writing to thank you and your staff for all your help and friendly compassionate care during my husband's funeral. It all went so smoothly, and you enabled me and my family and friends to say goodbye to him in a very special, respectful , moving and affectionate way. I shall never forget what you have done for me.'
'The Chapel is very beautiful, and the Gathering Hall was a wonderful place for people to meet beforehand and then to return to for refreshments afterwards. What struck me is that we had the area to ourselves. So unlike crematoria, where people are arriving for the next funeral before anyone has any time to reflect on what has just happened. It was so good to have the funeral tea on the same site as it avoided having to travel to some other venue. Also the parking facilities were excellent.'
'Thank you to all of the staff who helped to make Saturday a day full of happy memories.'
'With the Chiltern Woodland I feel it's full of life. I feel at peace, and love to see where my father is lying, he would be so happy where he is. I can hear him say "Good choice, I couldn't have chosen a better resting place".'
"Some people who attended the funeral will probably choose it themselves, they were so touched by the whole ceremony and burial."
- 'Thank you all so much for being so kind and patient with me before and after my son's funeral. Woodlands is the most tranquil place for a loved one to be - yes, I'm so very sad when I visit him, but I leave in peace, peace that he is laid to rest in such a beautiful place. Thank you.'
- 'Everything was very sensitively done, and the setting touched all of the people who came. The atmosphere was perfect. Thank you again for your help and understanding'.
- 'Thank you so much for the amazing... fantastic... magical day, 6th January 2010. The Burial Park looked incredible, Keith's burial place under his Oak Tree... perfection!!! Some people walked from the Bellhouse Hotel, some went by 'Limo', some by 4x4, a pilgrimage of approximately 125 people, all of the day made possible in adverse weather conditions by your lovely team, they were fabulous. I loved the day, Keith's family and friends loved it, so many people want to go back and see Keith, and all cannot imagine any other resting place for themselves! Many kind regards.'
- "It seems much more peaceful than a conventional cemetery."
- 'My mother wanted to be buried in a woodland burial plot. This one was local and had just opened, she saw it and chose her grave.'
- A beautiful setting, tranquil, well laid out and a nice place to walk around.'
